Autologous Stem Cell Transplant Question?
Hi
I am in the process of getting an Autologous SCT. I have to admit it's been a bigger life event than I expected. Currently I am on Day 9-since stem cell infusion. I had my SCT in August 2022 and was in the hospital for 17 days and it was not easy. I'm doing much better now however my WBC is still on the low side. I remember my first month home was difficult it took a real effort to do anything but I slowly improved. I think going for short walks were helpful. Be patient with yourself
Hi Pat-I am going thru SCT right now. On day 9-since stem cell transfusion...
I had my SCT a little over a year ago. I was a little behind where you are on day 9. I had some mild bleeding issues so I got a couple of transfusions and something to stimulate platelet production. I did as much walking and exercising as I could. My stay lasted 17 days.
My feelings exactly! I have enough cell for another one if I need. So far doing great! I did change Alittle how I eat. I try to eat lots of fruit and veg foods that are chemical free. I know they said anything with chemical is not good.
OK😀
