Which Supplements Or Vitamins Do You Take?
I think many people benefit from B12 injections. Most MM patients are very low on their vitimin D. I really don't know why, but itseems so common. When I was first diagnosed I had a Rx of 10,000 mg a day! but now I take 4,000 a day. The other supplements that are suggested are tumeric, CBD oil, and B Complex. .......................Elly xxooxxoo
The small study for rectal cancer was taken place at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer hospital in New York City. They used an immunotherapy drug called dostarlimab. In this small study, it cured 12-14 patients for 2 years now. I think all studies need approval from the FDA to protect all patients in the study. This is very good news, as perhaps the medical field is starting to unlock the mystery of cancer. GlaxoSmithKline is the pharmaceutical company. It is a monoclonal antibody made for this particular cancer called PD-1 Rectal Cancer. This drug fights this specific illness, cells that have a particular mutation called PD-1 It is kinda technical, but it is something interesting to look up on the commuter about Sloan Kettering in NYC and this study. Hopefully, this will be an understanding of how to stop cancer, without chemo, radiation, surgery! Wow, that would be great!!
The other day, I went for my three month checkup and blood tests.Everything looked okay thank God always, There was a snack bar in the building, and I spotted a home made brownie with chocolate chips. I bought it and ate it in the car on my way home!! I guess that was my reward. Treat yourselves very well, anything to make you happy. Also, some good news, treatments for multiple myeloma is getting better all the time. Very good news this week about rectal cancer, a small study was done with immunotherapy treatment, all patients tumors disappeared. In the news this week. Best wishes to all, Sunny😊
I take a supplement called Immunocal, it’s supposed to raise your glutathione level, to help with your cells. You can google it. I also take Calcium, vitamin D, B complex, folic acid, iron, and potassium. Hope this helps.
I asked to meet with oncology nutritionist re: weight loss info during treatment. In conversation with her is where I learned I should not consume Green Tea or Vit C. Verified with MM specialist & pharmacist whom all agreed. However, no one ever provided this info when started Velcade. Be your own advocate; ask questions.
