How long did your doctor recommend that you remain isolated from work/visitors after you went home following your SCT? Thank you
Agree with the answers provided. I kept away from everyone for 3 months then used a mask. Still do after 8 months. Getting caught up with vaccinations and waiting for the FDA to approve the Moderna booster shot.
KurtKozma, There is no mandated time period. It will depend on your blood counts and your immune system. I would surely remain “isolated” tell you have had your vaccinations, childhood vaccinations, flu and COVID19. It is for your good, you are worse than a new born baby because they at least have their mothers immunities, you have nothing to help you fight off any virtual/bacterial/fungal diseases. Going out too early is dangerous. Trust in your doctor to guide you. Have a good day, Love, Marcia 🌼🌸🌻
My husband is at almost 3 months (Oct 28) from SCT and still isolating. Nov 1 he can begin with Vacine and flu shot.
This is a tough question. It's usually 100 days, but we always have low immunity and will have to be careful.
His will take two years to complete. When he had his stem cell transplant done we were given a booklet that told the process. Guess what am reading not every one has the same process.
