What Are The Symptoms Besides Back Pain?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am waiting to see a specialist. I need to know what symptoms are common with MM besides the back pain and fatigue?

I was diagnosed with Myeloma in Dec 2015. I didn’t have much pain at that time, during the first years my bones started aching. My doctor gives me an infusion once a month called Aredia and it seems to help. Also I am on a low dose of Hydrocortisone also for pain.

I was just diagnosed in February this year. Had my SCT in August, remission in October. I have only had bone pain once. It was right after I had my bone strengthener Zometa. I don't want that again.

That's a really good question to raise with your dentist. He should definitely know about your ONJ risk and about the high biphosphate dosing. I would think it would be highly recommended. I do get antibiotics before cleaning, but its because I have joint replacements. Some do not give it-but I always ask for it.
