Are you taking Dexamethasone with your Valcade? That will keep you up at night . It may help with the pain once it starts working . Your bones will start healing . Good luck with your treatment. I went into remission for 41/2 years after 4 months of Valcade and Dex.
I can tell you I felt much more pain before I started treatment than I do now 4 yrs later! The treatments definitely helped and I am so thankful!
I experienced a lot of rib pain when I first started revlimid which I think lasted a good 4 months and then it seemed to get better. I still am careful with my ribs and back since my initial 3 compression fractures on my vertibre which were pretty much healed before they put me on chemo for the mm last July and then the rib pain started which the physical therapist and everyone else kept saying were muscle pulls, they were not. It took me a long time and a lot of reading what others were saying about their experiences with chemo for me to understand it was the revlimid. Talk to your doctors. I am on a 10 mg. ( at that time) 2 weeks on and two weeks off. Now up to 3 weeks on.

I take Velcade and Dex with little or no side effects. I was diagnosed with Myeloma in 2015 and that is all that I have taken ,however in the last 2 weeks I have had an MRI and a PetScan due to the fact that I also have a bad case of Sciolosis. This has caused a 75% curve in my back which is pretty significant. The Pet scan shows that I also have Osteoporosis in my rib cage. That is the reason for all of my pain. I am going to stay good friends with my pain management doctor so that I can wipe out some of the pain. I have a great oncologist and I feel that he is taking good care of me.
