Bob, my uncle went into remission with no SCT. He is on maintenance chemo. Due to his advanced age they opted not to give him a SCT but again, he’s in remission!

I got an autologous SCT in 2016. The doctor who visited my room the most said in an article that the advantage to having a transplant immediately after initial chemo therapy may be small. But there is an advantage, so he continues to prescribe them and administer them.
My point is that you can do fine without the transplant. I was practically in remission when I had mine. The goal of the transplant was to figuratively "kick it while it was down". I don't regret having had one, but I don't think (my own opinion) that you will regret not having had one. Best wishes.
