My doctor prescribed Gabapentin to help, but the neuropathy doesn’t seem much better. I am trying to build strength and not need a walker to get around since my hospital, stay for pneumonia, but the “pillow feet” make me uneasy. Both feet feel numb.
Has anyone found something that helps more with the neuropathy?
I was on gabapentin soon after SCT but found it ineffective. I believe I did not understand how and when to taste it, My solution for foot neuropathy is ….. warm socks. My mild neuropathy is aggravated by cold. My warm hunting socks makes it go away. 😃 ymmv
I was told to take vitamin B-12 pills... I take 1,000 mg in the morning and another at night and have zero neuropathy!
Just a heads up on gabapentin, when my wife was diagnosed with mm she had some kidney damage, we now find out after all these years that gabapentin is hard on the kidneys.
I stop taking the Neurontin because my Oncologist recommend Physical Therapy. Dr. Kathy showed me how to find the nerve in my feet and hands. She began working with me with balance challenges, strengthen, stretches, and variety of manipulation movements to my hands and feet. Now don't get me wrong my left-hand trembles at times. I hope this helps!😍
Our daughter got my husband this foot roller and it helps him tremendously with his neuropathy. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06WP7GXX5/ref=redir_...(Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators)&pd_rd_plhdr=t&pd_rd_r=33c9ef93-3a0b-4374-9c3b-23faed061df1&pd_rd_w=QqmWs&pd_rd_wg=YueQ5&ref_=sbx_be_s_sparkle_lsi4d_asin_1_img
