I have CML and am scheduled for another bone marrow biopsy in March close to the date I was diagnosed. I think they want to see if there are any changes .

Yes I have had one every year since 2015.

The first time they did the biopsy it was excruciating! O my gosh! I made them stop it wad so bad. So then they did the sedation one and I felt nothing. Nevet again will I key them do me the barbaric way

I will be having my 6th in about 14 months. The upcoming will be at my 6 month follow-up from SCT. My last biopsy at 100 days showed no signs of MM. Better to be safe than sorry is my thought. I do tell them that I do not intend to be a hero and I want to be sedated.

Just had my second bone biopsy after first round of treatment .
Showed cancer plasma cells decreased from 70 to 30%.
Very useful procedure.
