Ninlaro
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was taken off ninlaro 2 yrs ago. This week I had my first M spike since transplant (2015). Is it likely that I will be put back on ninlaro?

That’s a good question for your doctor. You have to get control of your myeloma so there’s going to be an answer for sure. Best of wishes you get in remission again soon!

Anyone Else Dread Lab Result Days?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

Just got my second set of labs back after my SCT. The first (4 months after it) showed a monoclonal protein in the gamma region. My doc reminded me that this disease is never gone, it comes back. I just started back with dara and he assured me it wasn’t a false positive with no additional testing done. He reminded me my remission would be short b/c I’m high risk. Well, it didn’t show in my new labs. Still no M spike. I am so happy the relapse hasn’t started yet. I didn’t realize how worried I… read more

What Are Thoughts Regarding Going Through Therapy For Osteopenia.
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have a parathyroid that had an incredible work ethic. One of it's nodules decided to work overtime and did a dang fine job of draining my skeletal system of bone density. This was like 10 to 15 years go and I underwent surgery to remove the nodule with the adenoma.

My endocrinologist wanted to put me on therapy to strengthen my skeletal system. I have forgotten the name of the medicine but remember that it was a black label medicine. I passed since I am male and with Testosterone was… read more

Oh I forgot one supplement: Immunocal, a glutathione precursor. I take 2 packets a day in pomegranate juice. Ok I think that’s it. 😅

Has Any One With Stage 1 Multiple Myeloma Had A Stem Cell Transplant? If Not, What Maintenance Program Are You On?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have Stage 1 multiple myeloma. I started treatment in January because of proteins in my urine. I am on Velcade, Revlimid and dexamethasone. I am on my 4th cycle. My understanding is that Revlimid will suppress stem cell production. So if down the road I may want a stem cell transplant my maintenance program would be the Velcade. I think the Revlimid might be a better option to for remission. I am wondering what others have found with your treatments.

A MyMyelomaTeam Member

Thanks for your response!! How long have you doing the 10 mg revlimid? Does it seem to be keeping your test levels where you want to be? I am doing pretty well. I have some fatigue and tingling in my… read more

I Hear Talk Of Remission. What Exactly Doe Remission Look Like?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
A MyMyelomaTeam Member
