Thomas,
Hi, there are many myeloma patients who do not die from the disease at all, but other co-morbidities, so keep yourself strong and healthy by doing all you can do to stay healthy, and try not to let the negative people bring you down. Stay positive and calm, one day at a time! Attitude is huge.

side effects from treatment, MM damage, pneumonia or infections because of low immunity, ..........I've decided a while back that I will not die from MM itself; just the damage/ complications, from... It is one reason I am not on treatment and won't be, unless I relapse.

Thomas,
I think infections and kidney failure are the two most prominent ones. I’m working on my gut where most of the immune system is. Butyrate in the gut is important. My fluids are almost just water, sometimes with a dash of lemonade and watermelon. I can tell when I have eaten too many salty foods. My stomach starts extending. How are you doing? Have you any concerns you are worried about on top of this?
