Going to an endocrinologist sounds like a great idea.
Eliminate starches, sugary drinks, salty foods, greasy foods, chips, cakes, cupcakes, candy, too much dairy and alcohol. Replace with fruit, smoothies, lean meat and vegetables. A Mediterranean diet is good. Watch your portions. It is better to eat small meals multiple times a day, than a few large meals. Do not eat late dinners. Have some organic oatmeal for breakfast. I add cinnamon, cloves, ginger and apples. Losing weight is hard. Gaining weight is easy. Just try and swap out some unhealthy food for healthy food. Make it a habit.

@A MyMyelomaTeam Member - yes I'm getting frustrated about the weight gain too besides being tired. As much as I love my oncologist he doesn't seem to understand my frustration or out of his expertees. My next option is to talk with my primary about my thyroid. If that doesn't work I will look for a board certified endocrinologist who wants to work with me besides just prescribing a pill.
I went from 145 down to 132 post-SCT/BMT (06/24), it took me about a year just to get to 140, now I'm at 142. Probably because I do a pretty decent exercise routine, the weight doesn't add on so quickly. TBH, I never had a gaining weight problem, extremely fast metabolism, and extremely diligent about eating junk.
As for shingles, I was on acyclovir for 12 months post-sct (06/24-25) then was given my first dose of the shingles vaccine, followed by the second dose one month later.
Now I have only the MMR vax to go, next month, two years post transplant.
My doctor does not want me losing weight. Cancer causes weight loss in the end.
