At times my legs feel as though they are giving out. My skin itches like crazy. Are these signs of progression?
Angela,
I am Smoldering too. My skin is dry and itchy. I figured it was from my kidneys. MM affects the kidneys. Drink more pure water. I also use Gold Bond diabetic lotion. Sarna lotion is great for the itch. My legs started giving out on me in 2020. They still do so I now have a walker if I have to walk too far or stand. What helped the most was when I started heart medication. You might want to see a Cardiologist. I was also tested for amyloidosis. MM can cause amyloidosis, which affects the heart. I see my Hematologist/Oncologist (a MM Specialist) every 3 months for blood tests and check up. You should also.

Angela, yes these symptoms could be a sign of progression. Make sure you are seeing a myeloma specialist and are getting checked routinely.
Angela,
I want to add, my pelvis is deteriorating, so sometimes my left leg will collapse without warning. What is helping with that is supplements to keep my bones healthy and strong. I take MRM Bone Maximizer III which is Calcium and Magnesium. I take extra D3 to absorb the calcium, vitamin K2 which tells the calcium to go to the bones, and vitamins C, A and E complex, which all support absorption of calcium.and thin the blood. K2 can thicken the blood, but it’s super important for our bones. Have you had a scan recently?
