I've had two MRIs and the initial CTscan
Weather permitting; I had to cancel my third MRI because of weather.
Could a second CT scan show a change, if any, since I've had both scans? Is a CT sensitive enough to see that? Winter is a pain in the butt when there are important things to do!
Mohd; you spurred this question 😉
Living outside of El Paso Texas I can't give you advice about dealing with snow. Mri,CT, pet scan, scans with & without contrast, xrays it seems like they AlwYs want another. It's frustrating & can add expensive bills we do not need but everything they come back negative I breath a little better. My prayers are with you
Kathryn, over time or bodies change due to myeloma. I've had several MRIs and a PET scan. My most recent one showed a lesion on my upper femur, first one. Point being the cancer never goes away so it silently goes about it's business... whatever that is...
Thank you John; no other opinion about healthcare..business from me🤐
Please read the next two information topics. The first response that explained the two types of scans are the answer to your question. Going down to the bottom of the page will give you even more information topics about multiple myeloma. In my opinion, you can never have too much info, just be sure to get it from legitimate sources.
Read my story and you will find sources of information that you can use along with free information booklets and magazine.
Good luck, God Bless and know that the group is here for support. We are all on the same journey - we are just on parallel paths. Feel free to reach out.
