want to share a little update about my journey. Recently I went for a CT scan of my lungs, and today the doctor explained the results to me. They found some changes in my left lung compared to before. There are areas where the lung lining looks thicker, and a small mass in the lower part of the left lung has grown a bit since my last scan. Because of these changes, the doctors want to do another test called a bronchoscopy, where they use a small camera to look inside the airways and take samples to understand it better. Hearing all this was not easy for me. It made me emotional because it feels like one thing after another. But at the same time, I am thankful that I am already under medical care and the doctors are taking steps to find out exactly what

Members shared the small daily habits that have made the biggest difference in managing their health, with physical exercise and strength training emerging as transformative practices that improve not only physical strength, balance, and stamina but also mental health and mood. Several members emphasized the importance of consistent routines, including organized medication schedules, adequate hydration, gentle movement like walking or yoga, and morning gratitude practices that set a positive tone for the day. A recurring theme was that consistency matters more than perfection, with members encouraging each other to show up for themselves daily, even on hard days when routines need to be modified or simplified.

My biggest habit, no matter how lousy I'm feeling (unless it's at an unbearable level), is to make sure I do some physical exercise. Anything! Even if it's a truncated workout, at least do something. I find that it helps me get through the day. I can't wait for the warmer weather to arrive, outdoors is invigorating and mood elevating.

Small Habits, Big Impact

For me, the small habits that make the biggest difference are simple but consistent:
Medication routine. I take everything I need, every day, without skipping. It feels a little “weird,” but it keeps me steady.
Morning reflection and gratitude are spend a few minutes thinking of things I’m thankful for. It sets the tone for the day.
Gentle movement , Even a short walk or simple stretches keeps my energy up and bones a little stronger.
Rest & sleep and make sure to rest when needed, and a regular sleep routine really helps me recover.
Connection & sharing – Talking with friends, family, or our group keeps me motivated and positive.

Consistency is key. Some days are harder than others, but small actions done every day add up to a big impact over time.

“It’s not about doing everything perfectly ( nobody perfect) it’s about showing up for yourself every day.” 🤝🙏

Peace will be with you all

Without a doubt, the best thing I have done for myself is strength training. The cancer center here offers a CancerFit class, and I started participating over four years ago. The only time I have missed going is if I’m out of town, getting treatment, or very sick. I am now 73 years old, and I was diagnosed with MM at age 65. I am now in the best shape of my life. I have muscle definition in places I didn’t even know there were muscles! My balance is better, and my strength and stamina have improved tremendously. I can’t begin to tell you what it has done for my mental health. It has taken me three years to lose 60 pounds, but I have built healthy habits along the way, and I’ve gone from a size 22 to a size 14 jeans.

I try to stay as organized as I can. I keep my pill organized at the side of my bed with my phone, watch, iPad, wallet, and glasses. I try to follow the same routines through the day to make sure I don’t forget to do something. If I’m unable to follow my routine, I get a bit of anxiety
