What do you do with your old Rx containers, have a paper bag filled with them. Is there anywhere that destroys them with all our information on them?
I peel the labels and roll them up. I put the bottles in recycling
I peel off my name, address and 'script, then toss them in the recycle bin. As for meds I no longer take, but still have some left. The local PD Precinct or certain CVS/Walgreens have a take-back policy. With those I just peel off my name and address.
The local police department has a take back program. Check with them. Also check with your pharmacy as they sometimes have a old drug dispensary.
The responses here are interesting. In Ontario, pharmacies take back and dispose of empty drug containers and most unused pills. Except for Revlimid and Lenolidamide.
Both of those drugs are picked up by FedEx free of charge and returned to the only supplier. Because of the dangers of interacting with those drugs directly, they cannot be taken by any other pharmacies.
