My Lymphocytes have been low for many months;1.3 , 1.4 1.5
The WBC was 5.3 in my blood tests yesterday ( as well as the 1.5, yesterday )
I'm trying to find out how I keep getting ill from simple traveling locally and back; just wrung out, no energy. Other days my energy is short-lived, but not like when I go to run errands; grocery store, pay a bill, check the mail, go to dr. appt......etc.
Thanks for sharing just read about this IVIG for first time will definitely ask oncologist it needed In future treatment plan
Hi Kathryn,
Are you getting monthly blood draws and if so, are your immunoglobulins IgA, IgM, IgG in normal range? These antibodies focus on your overall immune system and how it’s functioning. Low results mean antibody deficiencies and your system’s resistance to fighting off colds and infections is compromised. I myself was getting monthly chest colds I couldn’t shake. To combat this, over the winter months when colds and flu are raging, I get a monthly IVIG (Intravenous Immunoglobulin) infusion booster. This is a blood product containing antibodies from healthy donors and super charges your immune system.
Kathryn,
Go to HTTPS://www.themmrf.org for a list of tests your Hematologist/Oncologist should order.

Jamie; I get blood tests every three months, so far. The IVIG will be another asking point at my next appt. I wonder if my Primary doctor can order the infusion, or my oncologist has to......or at least approve? I've gotten to the end of my listing page.....with questions for my onc. consultation. I had heard of the IVIG in the past but just haven't asked a practitioner about it.....til this time.
The main difference between the two is that a White Blood Count (WBC) measures the total number of all your infection-fighting cells, while lymphocytes are just one specific type of those cells.
