Pausing for that week is a good suggestion.

I have had treatment paused multiple times. Once due to side effects. A couple of times because my regular chemo day fell on a holiday. A couple of times due to testing for other cancers (bladder and prostate, both tested negative).

Once because we bought tickets to see our favorite singer, Morgan James. This concert was out of town, 5 hours driving time, so we were going to stay over. We had a great time at the VIP session before the concert. After the concert, my wife told her we missed the concert in our home state because I was diagnosed with cancer and getting treatment on the day of the concert. Morgan was shocked and asked if I was ok. I teared up because I wasn't expecting my wife to tell her, and it caught me off guard. She hugged me and said when she is back in our area in February, we'll have to get together with her and her husband for coffee a day before the concert.

As others have said, treatment of this cancer is a marathon, and generally there is great flexibility in the treatment schedule.

I’ve had treatment pushed a couple of times for sickness.it all turned out ok.

My doc said when I go on vacation this year we will make your meds work.

I stopped treatment several times, covid, different doctor, etc. you will be fine.
