San Jose, CA

I am 69 diagnosed in March '24 with stage 3 (the 17p deletion & beta-2 microglobulin of 5.56) high risk Lambda light chain MM. I am asymptomatic and responding well to maintenance. I expect to live to at least 90 in good health and have not given up on 100. My father lived to 99 full and rich years.

Good for you Linda, it is so much easier to make the decision to stay on maintenance drugs when you have no side effects. If I start having side effects I will probably look for natural solutions. Also I personally don't prescribe to supplements, but I do follow advice from Dr. Joel Fuhrman which recommends the Nutritarian diet for health. He goes in complete detail about how micronutriants in fruits & vegetables have everything you need to fight disease. I make a nutritarian soup with over 30 different vegetables, greens & beans with every color of the rainbow in vegetables which do different things to repair your body. My system definitely has not hurt me. According to my doctor, with my original diagnosis I wasn't supposed to last more than 18 months. It is a lot of work making the soup, I make a huge batch with about a 6 month supply and freeze it. I bought a freezer just for it. But it is a labor of love.

Have them get you the Lab test #123218 - DarzFasPro produces a False MSPike. It can easily account for 0.2 or more.

I'm of the opinion that MM Maintenance Meds will shorten your Life Span if they continue to weaken your Immune System. Learn how to understand about your Labs, your Natural Killer Cells and never let your guard down. Overmedication of MM Meds can be our worst enemy. Ask why do people Relapse after 2, 4, 6 and even 8 Years if they've become MRD Negative - I believed its Linked to the health of our Innate Immune System - if it's constantly beaten down by long term Maintenance Meds, you become vulnerable to Infections that you can't defend against. Very few people actually die from MM - they know it's far more from secondary Infections and secondary Cancers that a beaten down Immune System can not fend off. It's up to us to proactively Self Educate - they don't Teach Nutrition and they don't help people protect their Innate Immune System - our Natural Killer Cells. Their solution of IgIVs is a very short term fix that that requires constant updates (sometimes as often as monthly) does nothing to Restore us to a Healthy Immune System.
