Yesterday, I had an MRI on my head/brain.
Is there such a thing as side or after effects from a 30 min. scan?
I sure hope not cause part of the diagnosis process for me was an MRI that took 3 hours...š¬
It was of my entire skeletal system to see if my myeloma had created lesions on any of my bones... believe it or not I feel asleep during it.... no ill effects afterwards...
Kathryn,
I canāt travel anymore. Itās too exhausting. Iām only 67 years old and used to go non-stop. Now Iām exhausted even using a wheelchair in the airport. Iām glad my dad moved to a memory care near me. Now I donāt have to fly to see him.

I have had an MRI with no after affects. You had a very challenging trip home but thankfully you are better this morning.
I have had several including full body mri scans and without exception I have had no side effects. I just really hate the noise and it seems to go on forever ( sympathies Bob ) even if itās only a 30 minute one. I have a pacemaker so I have the pacemaker technician with the radiographer all the time. My heart is speeded up for the duration then she puts it back to normal. I am telling you this in case anybody is in a similar situation and I want to say thereās nothing to worry about you feel okay throughout and after enjoy the end of your summer everyone xxxx
I felt disoriented and more fatigued than my usual daily fatigue. If I went straight home it probably wouldn't have had a problem, but that was not the case. I had to get a cab, then walk ( was really tiring ) to the motel....and so on..I am better this morning and just decided to ask the question. The MRI was without, then with...a tracer agent? I've forgotten the correct term for the moment.
