CAR-T cell therapy has shown promising results for many people with hard-to-treat myeloma, even when other treatments haven't worked. While it doesn't work for everyone, and cancer can sometimes return, many have had positive experiences with this treatment.

The most common side effects that people experience include:
• Fatigue
• Fever
• Muscle aches
• Headaches
• Nausea
• Diarrhea
• Loss of appetite
• Cough
• Swelling It's important to note that about 85% of patients experience cytokine release syndrome (CRS), which can cause flu-like symptoms, fever, low blood pressure, and breathing difficulties. However, most cases are mild and temporary, and there are now medications available to treat these symptoms.

Due to potential side effects, the treatment is only provided at certified locations with specially trained healthcare providers who can monitor and address any complications that arise. Make sure to discuss with your healthcare team which symptoms might indicate a more serious problem requiring immediate attention.
