What causes pain and swelling in the clavicle with multiple myeloma?

Multiple myeloma can cause pain in various bones throughout the body, including the clavicle (collarbone), due to abnormal plasma cells building up in the bones. These cells form tumors and cause bone damage, which can lead to:

• Bone pain and swelling
• Weakened bones that may fracture more easily
• Slower healing of broken bones
• Chronic pain in affected areas If you experience pain and swelling in your clavicle or any other bones, it's important to inform your healthcare team immediately. They can evaluate whether:

• The symptoms are from bone lesions
• There might be a fracture
• Treatment adjustments are needed
• Additional pain management strategies should be implemented

Remember that bone pain is a common symptom of myeloma, but effective treatment options are available to help manage the discomfort.

Thank you all. I went to France over a year ago. I don’t take insurance - it’s too expensive as I have too many pre existing problems.
as as it’s in Europe we have the EHIC or GHIC cards for free emergency cover. My daughter is taking me and she is a nurse we go by ferry so that if I was poorly, she would bring me back home. Xxxx happy holidays to you all. Xx

Ruth! How fabulous! I Make sure to buy insurance. I would love to travel, unfortunately my husband won’t go with me and the kids are busy with work. I should just take a friend. What makes me hesitant, is my allergy to dairy, which is severe. It makes it hard to eat out.
