Joy, you will be sedated for the central line placement. The line will save you many needle sticks in the long run. My husband said the placement procedure really wasn't bad.

Hello JoyBarlett, My positive experience is my cancer is in remission and I'm so grateful to God! My SCT was 7 months ago. I also now have one appointment a month versus 2-3 (to include radiation) a week as I did. If you can get SCT, and you're cleared by your doctor, I'd do it. It's really not a one size fits all. Great luck!
