It did then. After starting the supplements, it only hurts when I forget to take them. On top of taking the supplements, I avoid anything that interferes with Calcium absorption, like caffeine, carbonation, salty foods, spinach and sweet potatoes. MM constantly breaks down the bones and does not take a day off. Because of this, I try not to cheat on my diet and taking supplements.

Definitely schedule an MRI or PET scan since you have not had one
Hey Bonnie, did the do imaging of your hip?
I was having so much pain in my hip and was having a hard time walking. It turned out that my hip was fractured and I also found out I had MM.
Hi Bonnie,
My hip pain is how I was first diagnosed with MGUS. My Rheumatologist sent me to an Oncologist. I am now Smoldering. A MRI or PET/CT may be in order to rule out lesions. I have a PET/CT scheduled this September. You should be seeing a MM Specialist who is also a Hematologist/Oncologist. They are very rare. There is a list on the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation site but some names are missing. HTTPS://www.themmrf.org
I did not have MM lesions in my hip. I have osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. I take supplements to relieve the pain. MRM Bone Maximizer III (4 capsules) extra D3 & K2 combo (2 capsules) Vitamin C and Collagen. Strontium citrate at night helps in addition. I could barely walk and was too scared to drive for months. Now I have no problem. In my area, City of Hope has a MM Specialist, UCLA and Cedar Sinai, and Dr Berenson in Hollywood. I’ve heard that Las Vegas has none. I don’t know about Arizona.

How does a person discern whether back pain is bone pain or muscle pain feel compared to muscle pain
