I had CAR-T (Carvykti) treatment in November 2024. I have been in remission for 3 months now. The process was easy; however, I was not prepared for the lack of energy I had and still struggle with. I was told it could take a year to regain my strength. So, my advice, be patient with yourself!

Thank you for responding to me. Do you have any fractures from MM? I have two replaced hips and several fractured bones in my back.

The treatment has been particularly effective for many people with hard-to-treat myeloma. Studies show that:
- 3 out of 4 people had fewer signs of cancer
- 1 out of 3 people had all signs of cancer disappear
- Of those who had complete response, 2 out of 3 remained in remission for at least a year It's important to be aware of potential side effects. Some people experience:
- Flu-like symptoms
- Fever and chills
- Breathing problems
- Confusion
Make sure to discuss these potential side effects with your healthcare team, as treatments are available to help manage them. While CAR-T therapy isn't a cure, it has helped many people live longer and better control their myeloma, even when other treatments haven't worked.
