I had my SCT in 2018 and completed the immunizations with no issues. I have also received a full compliment of COVID, flu and RSV shots without issues. Completed CAR-T in 2024 and will be starting all the childhood immunizations over again. I'm hoping for the same issue free experience.

Curt, I have free light chain kappa myeloma and it seems like my kappa number went up some after my first round of vaccines a couple of months ago. The ratio stayed within normal though. The ratio is what you want to watch because kappa and lambda light chains can both go up in response to other things going on in your body such as inflammation.

When you start the covid vaccines are we getting covid 1-6 at different times and then the boosters? Well atleast some are 5 at a time. πŸ˜† We took 5 or 6 shots at one time in basic training, 3 per arm. All I saw was blood and skin oozing down my arm and the Drill Sergeant said,"Move out private!" πŸ˜† We did push-ups starting the next day until the pain went away. πŸ˜†

The shots didn't affect me. My oncologist also makes sure I'm up to date on Covid and flu shots. Just had my first shingles shot a month ago.

Hi M' ,
It's such a long, 27 month process to get up to date after the SCT. I'm still in the process. πŸ™
