So I eat plain white yogurt with active cultures.
Angie,
There is a study or clinical trial that @A MyMyelomaTeam Member and @A MyMyelomaTeam Member have linked from Dr Urvi Shah at Sloan Memorial Kettering regarding how our gut microbiome factors in MM remission by producing butyrate, a short chain fatty acid, as a result of “digesting” fiber from our diet. High levels of butyrate is a big factor in staying in remission. The larger variety of plants we consume is what encourages a more diverse “gut garden” of microbes, hence more butyrate production.
Short chain fatty acids do amazing things with our immunity and our bodies. It’s a fascinating area of study I’m exploring too.
Dr Brandy has suggestions in his book “ Beat Back Cancer Naturally “. A friend of mine took Frankincense (DDR Prime) from do-Terra.
Hello @A MyMyelomaTeam Member! Great question that has many answers I am sure! But to sum up my answer, I suggest you look @A MyMyelomaTeam Member 's story and see what he's done to stay in remission! Very helpful! Best to you!🙏🌞🌻
Yes that’s a great study I read about it also! I try to cook 4-5 different vegetables for supper lentils okra green peas yellow squash broccoli mushrooms onion red bell pepper and garlic sautéed in evoo as a topper and watermelon for dessert. I also take probiotics for good gut health.
What bothers me is the fact I’m back on dapsone antibiotics and I know it kills my good bacteria needed to keep the healthy gut.
