Thank you everyone for your replies. I’ve been leery to try and seems everyone agrees not the way to go. Hope everyone has a good day! πŸ€—

Gatorade Zero ( NO Sugar ) helps me a lot. Replenishes electrolytes, energy, fluids, and keeps your kidneys flushed out. Along with a lot of good old water.

nap; usually it only takes about a half hour, but when I do lay down for the nap , I almost immediately fall asleep, so I guess the rest is needed.

I would only add: folks seem to be afraid of sugar. So they drink unsugared drinks or foods. Sugar isn't good when overused as in multiple cups of coke or sweets. Sugar is actually very low in calories. And it also relieves food cravings that diet drinks do not. No food cravings. No overeating. I have noticed people use the non sugar message to rationalize their consumption of drinks. I suspect diet drinks are one reason we have so many overweight folks.

Energy drinks are very bad for the heart. A protein drink is much better.
