Let me try this again, I typed a whole reply but it disappeared. My doctor, this morning, said it doesn't mean anything, that they usually use this to diagnose acidosis. My anion gap is 3, very low, but apparently it just means that yes, I do have multiple myeloma. I guess I should be happy, I have been on a "drug holiday" for 15 months now and my numbers are still the same (m-spike 1.2; lc ratio 2.3). Once a month bloodwork until things change. I've done this before, chemo for 1.5 years, holiday for 3 years, then chemo again for 1.5 years....so hopefully this will be the 3 year drug holiday.
