Exercise With Fragile Pelvis Bones
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

My MM weaken my right pelvis causing it to break. I’m not supposed to put more than 10% of my body weight on it. What exercise programs would you recommend for my arms, back muscles, and endurance?

I would think that aquatic exercises would be most beneficial because water naturally displaces weight. Consult a physical therapist. Some offices have water therapy tanks for this purpose.

Phil,
I had a hard fall backwards a week ago on the carpet. I thought for sure my left wrist, left hip and pelvis were going to be broken. I have severe osteoporosis and a pelvis that is degenerating. I hurt and just felt jarred. I waited to get up, but was able to and was able to walk. Miraculous is all I can say. My left wrist is a tiny bit sore still but not bad. I’m still amazed.

My orthodontist recommended I look into aquatic exercises. Going to look at the recreational center in our neighborhood
