Copay Assistance?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I just applied and got an approval with LLS is open to new applications now. It’s for $5000. I need to make sure my doc responds to their email in 30 days otherwise they ditch me. What a help!

Copay assistance

This concern is the top question on the MyMyelomaTeam site. Revlimid is a very costly oral Multiple Myeloma treatment. I have posted in less detail before and will answer as best I can from memory , discussion with my pharmacy, and some quick research since I have been on a couple grants. Many CoPay assistance programs can require income limits, although some can be generous. Most cancer treatment providers, clinics, hospitals and their pharmacies provide advocacy to access financial assistance grants to cover the costs of Revlimid.
Several are as follows;
-Bristol Myers Squibb CoPay Assistance(commercial insurance non Medicare)
- Healthtree Foundation
-Healthwell
- Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
-Patient Access Network Foundation(
-Patient Advocate Foundation
-AMGEN Support(Kyprolis)
- Cancercare CoPay Assistance Foundation
-Needymeds.org will provide all the information needed including eligibility requirements, program websites, how to anpply, and contact information.
The last thing cancer patients want is to deal with the stress of financial issues from treatments.I hope this post helps.

My copay for my Pomalyst was going to be over $9000.00. Thankfully I got help from Bristol Myers Squibb copay assist. My copay was zero👍😉

I, too, have benefitted from an annual grant from Healthwell.

I’ve had assistance from both Healthwell and Patient Advocate Foundation Co- Pay relief, definitely worth pursuing with the cost of Revlimid and other out of pocket copays. I recently switched to the generic Lenalidomide, the retail cost is about 2k cheaper than the name brand, thus the lower copay. Thankfully with the change in coverage D drug stages, one fill of Revlimid (plus your deductible and initial copay) will likely put you in the catastrophic category, meaning you will likely pay nothing going forward for prescription drugs under part D for the rest of the year. You’d think that this site would have links to various sites that offer financial assistance under the Resources category, one of my complaints about this site!
