Stage 1 Multiple Myeloma: What To Expect Read Article...
A MyMyelomaTeam Member

Hi Karen,
Many oncologists are reluctant to stage multiple myeloma, but there are actually two systems, CRAB and the ISS system which can be used to provide a guide toward the level of multiple myeloma. Check out the resource articles here as a guide.
The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation also has published a comprehensive guide to all information on multiple myeloma. See below a photo of the guide. Go to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation website for more details on how you can download a copy.

I agree with the papermaker1! It is good to know as much as you can. Information can be your friend. There have been a couple of times when I was able to correct the doctor as he did not know. Doctors are human too.

Karen, they do stage myeloma, but it is not as prognostic as staging for solid tumors. I was 3b at diagnosis. But I'm still here over 6 years later💕💖
