Hi Ron,
I would love to hear what you are trying. Iโ€™m reading a lot about the microbiome in the gut and how by eating the right food you strengthen it, which in turn strengthens your immune system.

Hi Karen - Many people on this Forum have issues with neuropathy. Some as bad as mine, others not so and a few have no issue with it. All of the treatment meds can cause neuropathy but Velcade seems to be the worst.

I was getting Velcade twice a week for 5 months before I had them stop. By that time, it was too late.

I'm doing very well in that I respond to treatment almost instantly and I'm back to No MSpike and off all MM Meds again, but my treatment two years ago has left me with a very difficult problem of constant burning and stinging. I've tried everything my Onc & GP have suggested. Some have serious side effects which I've stopped in the past.

Johns Hopkins has an acupressure ear beads that I'm trying to get to try them. If I get them, I'll report as to their results.

Hi Ron. I am very interested in this. I do believe our food - for both mind, body and soul - will help us with the journey. I have read up on it a lot. There is lots of conflicting information as well, on the food and supplement front.

In South Africa, getting access to consistent organic fruit and vegetables is challenging. Lots of non organic. But, I still feel the power of the fruit and veg is stronger than what harms it.

Vitamin B12 for example is imperative for people with myeloma. The only conflicting thing Iโ€™ve read is that people who have myeloma should avoid glutatathione - as it accelerates the cells but at the same time itโ€™s one of the building blocks of health.

On supplements itโ€™s also important I think to work with a good naturopath or homeopath to ensure you get the right quality ones with bioavailability as many super market mainstream ones are not as effective.

I would be really keen to hear what you use and also recipes - as sometimes it gets monotonous.

To all interested into checking out plant based diet for health/cancer, I just stumbled across a website on it created by a Sally Lipsky titled Plant Based Pittsburgh. She's written on this extensively, has You Tube links, articles and a book on the very subject of plant based and cancer. Please consider. If you do decide to transition, I can help. Best again to my fellow seekers.
