Hello Chris,JanLSuter, and Kritchow,
This concern is the top question on the MyMyelomaTeam site. Revlimid is a very costly oral Multiple Myeloma treatment. I have posted less detailed information before and will answer as best I can from memory , discussion with my oncologist pharmacy, and some quick research since I have been on a couple different grants. Many CoPay assistance programs can require income limits, although some can be generous. Many can run out of grant funds, at the later months of the year, but there are several to try noted below. Most cancer treatment providers, clinics, hospitals , oncologists, and their pharmacies provide advocacy to access financial assistance grants to cover the costs of Revlimid. I also located a Kyprolis grant program so I believe there may more available for other oral chemo treatments. Chemo injections are generally covered by insurance , but I would check for your particular situation and medications. Grants can be renewed all year.
Several Multiple Myeloma medication grant providers are listed below as follows;
-Bristol Myers Squibb CoPay Assistance(commercial non Medicare)
- Healthtree Foundation
-Healthwell
- Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
-Patient Access Network Foundation(
-Patient Advocate Foundation
-AMGEN Support(Kyprolis)
- Cancercare CoPay Assistance Foundation
-Needymeds.org will provide all the information needed including eligibility requirements, program websites, how to anpply, and contact information.
-Google Cancer CoPay assistance to see more
I hope this helps you . I have also posted the Healthtree Financial Coach program. The last thing cancer patients want to deal with is financial stress from medications. Please let me know if this helps.
Thankfully, starting in 2025 the maximum out of pocket for Medicare drug programs will be $2000.00. There are several nonprofits that have copay assist as well.ππ
Currently, I have a Grant through AON (American Oncology Network). My Onc is part of the AON System. I'm on Medicare AB + Supplemental (AARP) + United Health Care Rx.
Rather than paying the $1,000 per month that I was expecting, the Grant is covering this for now. They said when it runs out, they expect they can get another Grant (each around $10K - maybe upwards of $20K).
If I find I need to look at Out of Pocket, I'll be looking into getting the Generic Revlimid (Lenlidomide) directly from the Manufacturer in India.
Dr. Brandy said he has used their product for years. He switch from Revlimid Brand, costing him $12K Annual, after Insurance, to $30 Per Month for 30 pills of 10mg Revlimid Generic (available in all dosage levels).
I've worked with Dr Brandy long enough now to appreciate that he's a very cautious and careful person. A few years back, he slowly transitioned to this Generic Revlimid. He got regular Labs and made sure there were no changes. He says your Onc can Write an Order for their Product and that you can Order Directly from the Manufacturer in India. I'm sure that it will be easy to get delivery to anywhere in the world via DHL Express International, UPS International, or FedEx International. Over the years, I've used DHL Express for my business needs. They've been very reliable.
I remember looking into this company two years ago. For their Generic Revlimid.

I just reapply every year to Bristol Myers Squibb to get the copay assist. You just have to renew each year. They send me a letter when it's time to renewππ
I will be retiring May 7, 2025 and I too, was concerned about that. Right now I have health insurance thru my employer but Bristol Myers is taking care of my copay for the Revlimid. Last year I was under a grant thru the Lukemia & Lymphoma Society. I don't know what I am going to do in 2024 because the Bristol Myers was only for one year.
