Smoking, makes myeloma treatment less effective. It increases risk of blood clots, heart attack and stroke. Smoking increases the risk of secondary cancers. See the link below. Love Donna ๐๐๐
Camelia, it's hard to quit smoking. Especially since it probably helps with anxiety. My sister used the nicotine patches. Sending hugs ๐๐๐ฅฐ๐
Camelia, here is a link to information about smoking during myeloma treatment. ๐ฅฐ๐๐
Camellia,
Smoking caused my Father-in-law to have Dementia, colon cancer and quadruple bypass heart surgery. If you want cancer, you continue to smoke. Itโs as simple as that. Whatโs not simple is changing a bad habit or addictive habit. My grandfather stopped โCold turkeyโ. He bought candy that was hard to eat, so he couldnโt eat too many, but it kept his mouth busy. โ Good and Plentyโ. Itโs an old fashioned candy that worked well for him. He put it everywhere that he normally would reach for a cigarette. I hope this helps.๐๐ป
