I currently have smouldering myeloma which doesn't need treatment at the moment
My doctor has said that I will probably need treatment next year

Thank you. Yes waiting is really difficult.
I've been dealing with Smoldering Cell MM for 2 years now. My doctor says it's just a matter of time before it develops into full Multiple Myoloma. The anxiety of waiting is the worst. I get monitored every 6-12 weeks depending on blood results. Only thing I can say is. The waiting is the worst. Stay strong and take care.
Thank you so much Bedebaby. You are right of course that I should carry on with my life and not worry.
Hard to do sometimes though. But I will try.
Thanks for sharing your story with me. I wish you well.

Hi Toni, I had MGUS for about 10 years, and then all of a sudden I had smoldering myeloma. And within a few months, I was being treated for MM🤷🏽♀️. Everyone is so different when it comes to this illness. A friend of mine has had smoldering for about 5 years now, she’s 50. She enjoys her life. I recommend not worrying, live your life, enjoy yourself. Plan things and LIVE!❤️
