I Am Curious Has Anyone Continued To Work
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

Just started my treatment today on KRD. I have 8 cycles to complete. I am hoping to continue to work. I know everyone has different side effects. Just trying to see everyone's experiance with working and dealing with m.m

Scott,
I’m retired but fatigue is still a factor. I am amazed at how many people still work and have hardly any side effects from their treatment. I guess you just have to see how it affects you.

Scott, I'm also retired and fatigue was certainly an issue along with other side effects. I'd say work as long as you feel like it but don't overdo. Good luck!

Scott, what kind of work do you do? I work remotely from a desk most my staff goes it two days a week and remotes the rest. I use my doctors note and no one has questioned me working from home. I got two years until I want to retire and am hoping to do it remotely. If you have an active job I’m not sure it would be possible but it does depend on how much pain you are in and how flexible your job is. I am luck to go to my appointments whenever I need to. Work has been very supportive. I hope you have the same luck! 🍀

Scott I have been dealing with MM for over 4 years and I still work. My job is a desk job so I am sitting most of the day. I do have days that I am tired but I push through. I have to go to Oncology 3 times a month for IV’s that take anywhere from 4 to 7 hours. I pray you will see good results with your treatment.
