Rosie's been on her treatments since November of 2021. Her liver, kidneys, lungs, and heart is in good shape. In the doctor's report, He said she responded well to the treatment. But her fatigue is terrible. The doctor put her on a maintenance program of just Darzalex (daratumumab) and discontinued Velcade (Bortezomib). Has anyone else done this? And what happened? My concern is her numbers will start going up, and it will be harder to get them back down next time.
Hi Dixie, I'm on Darzalex faspro and Pomalyst. I asked my specialist about stopping the Pomalyst. I was on Kyprolis with Pomalyst and dex. My numbers doubled. So, I told my doctor that I was thinking it's mostly the Darzalex keeping my numbers down. He said that it was a possibility. But, he also said that these drugs work differently together. He used the word synergy. Anyway, I'm too scared to stop the Pomalyst since my numbers are good but I am still MRD positive on my bone marrow. Anyway, I pray Rosie's numbers stay good on the Darzalex. You will have to keep me posted. I am most interested. I listened to a webinar where Dr. Paul Richardson has a patient that has been on Darzalex for 10 years. She started in a clinical trial. 💗💕🙏😉
Thank you for the response, and yes, I will keep you posted and looking forward to hearing more about how you are doing. We are going for Rose's first monthly maintenance treatment tomorrow. I'm anxious to see the test results.
Just starting maintenance in July- l will be ion Darzalex Fastpro and Revilmid!
