Elevated WBC In Blood Report Suddenly In MM

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Peoria, AZ

In my recent report the WBC count shot up from 4.0 to 13 within 7 days, while RBC & Hb remained low. Platelets are near low level border at 145. Also the M-spike is reduced to 1.0 from 1.1. Is it a good sign?

Sue this is interesting I’ve never heard of this before. Keep us posted on the outcome of your white cells shooting up and the reduce M spike. What treatment or maintenance are you on now?

My platelets have consistently been at 106 or below. Nothing seems to help. Doctor says since it's consistent and not all over the place, it's okay. But it makes me tired.

Sorry for the late reply. It must be an error. I did another blood work, it was below normal as usual.

You should be talking to the doctor about all your reports. It’s too hard to guess.
