I Will Turn 65 In The Next Year And Am Trying To Figure Out How Revlimid/lenalidomide Are Covered By Medicare.
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

If you are on Medicare and take these medications, what is covered? Do you have straight Medicare, Medicare with a Supplement or Medicare Advantage? Whatever details and information you can provide would be extremely helpful.

Say no to the Advantage plans. My Revlimid that is not covered by my drug insurance on Medicare is covered by a grant that my doctor's office found for me based on income.

Not sure...my hospital did not ask mine...but they were able to get grants for the most expensive drugs. They have people working daily to raise money and file grants whit the right companies, programs, etc. I am very fortunate...

You will, I am pretty sure, need a supplemental insurance coverage when you turn 65.
I have Healthcare, it is great. I haven’t had one medical bill since. They have even increased my monthly cash allowance.

I was paying $1000 copay a month on medicare eith BC/BS gap insurance snd Aetna prescription...all the best I could buy. I did not qualify for any help. Then I went to the VA because I have a couple service connected disabilities. Now I get revlimid through them and pay $8 a month. Stay on your company health plan as long as possible.
