Walter, go enjoy your beer and wine in moderation.
It specifically says with with Velcade that there is no negative indication when using alcohol in moderation.
I do…. 2 glasses of wine nightly. One white, one red. Sleep like a baby every night.

I used to drink beer and bloody mary's often. I stopped drinking the day I was told it would help with my treatment. While I really miss the drinking and good times, it was a choice. We are all different, and after 7 years I still crave a beer or drink and have occasionally taken a drink, it's just not the same, and I find I feel better when I do not drink. It's a personal choice, my doctors say a drink once in a while will not affect my treatment. Sometimes with this horrible disease you have to make your own choices, and live the results. Live everyday like there is no tomorrow.

I drink nearly every day - and I am fine with it - it’s a pain killer for me ( and I have lots of pain ) it’s this or Hydrocone - I’d rather drink- and I have already lived 6 years longer than they thought I would - so why not - my motto is “ Enjoy life as best you can for as long as you can”

I enjoyed a 4 oz glass of wine with dinner 3-4 nights per week. My husband was a talented vintner (hobby), and brewer, and most of what he made was organic/natural without additives. When I was diagnosed, and treated with chemo, I stopped using alcohol. I think the chemo is harsh on our liver and kidneys and don't want to put myself at risk. Talk to your doctor and get good information about your personal situation before making and changes in behavior. Some are unnecessary for you, while some are advised. We are all different.

Hello to all my name is Donald and I've been alcohol free come September 23 for 40 years , my thoughts are had I continued drinking and subsequently diagnosed with MM l honestly believe I would not have survived for as long as I have. I was diagnosed 2014 and received SCT. My SCT last for approximately 6 years without any maintenance medications .
This year I was placed on Darcalex and 40mg of Dex. Once a week. I receive my infusion of Darcalex once a month all in all this regiment is keeping everything at bay. Again I believe if I was still consuming alcohol I would not be doing as well as I am.
