Has Anyone Tried The Liquid Liposomal Curcumin By Manna?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone tried the liquid Liposomal Curcumin by Manna? I'm seeing it advertised a lot on FB. I think I would prefer a pill, though but hope to hear some reviews on whatever Liposomal Curcumin people like. I just had a PET scan last week and have a degenerative spine, apparently. Not ever having terrible pain, more discomfort and hard bending down so I think I'd like to try the Liposomal Curcumin finally. Thanks.

Hi Nancy424 - At the beginning of my treatment over 18 months ago I asked my oncologist about taking 4 grams of C3 Curcumin, daily at that time - now 8 grams daily due to the results of a 6 year Case Study that NIH conducted. Links and details at my Story @A MyMyelomaTeam Member.

The NIH Study concluded there was efficacy in using C3 Curcumin in 8 grams daily.

I’ve been talking C3 Curcumin for 18 months, daily. The brand I take has a coating that doesn’t upset my stomach to take all 8 late at night.

At 6 weeks of treatment that included DarzFasPro + RVD + C3 Curcumin, my extremely bad numbers of 80% bad plasma, MSpike 3.4, and 5915 IgA, and one high risk of t(4;14), we’re back to Normal. My Doc, of 30+ years in oncology, said he was Astonished to see my Numbers move So Far, So Fast.

After 7 months, without a SCT, (3 months induction and 4 months maintenance), my first MRD Test was Negative - 2 additional have been negative and I’ve been on Monitoring without any MM Meds since last June. All of this as per the MRD-SURE and MRD-2-STOP Case Studies.

Plenty of details and Links at my Story @A MyMyelomaTeam Member.

No harm from high doses C3 Curcumin and probably a Lot of Help.

One foot note about C3 Curcumin. At the levels of 8 grams daily, it does have a mild blood thinning capability. Other blood thinners may need reduction. During treatment, I took one 81mg low dose aspirin daily. There was never an issue of the two together.

All the Best - Larry2

Hi MGlive - Turmeric only has 3% Curcumin. It takes 33 grams of Turmeric to get 1 gram of 95% extracted Curcumin. Turmeric contains other items besides Curcumin. My daily goal of 8 grams C3 Curcumin would be impractical from Turmeric.

As a Nurse trained in both regular and holistic medicine, I did research the use
of Curcumin and MM. Not much on research, but I recall reading that it interfered with something.
Also any over the counter meds, herbs or treatments should be discussed with your MD, as prescribed meds and OTC meds can have interactions.
Please research use of Curcumin in MM

Hi Linda5 - For now I’m going forward with CurQfen. Ordered 10 bottles. Intend to take 6 pills daily, split across 3 doses of 2 each. This will cover 100 days and I’m setup for reorders every 90 days. I’ll continue my research to see if I stay with it but for now I prefer this over the Liposomal Curcumin.

Curcumin stays in our system for 6 to 8 hours, therefore the reason I’m splitting it across 3 doses. Its also been suggested to me from a manufacturer that there’s a saturation level where more at once doesn’t provide additional Curcumin into our bloodstream. Don’t know if it’s just their product or all Curcumin products. The delivery systems are so very different, it’s hard to know.

The Swanson brand of CurQfen is very reasonably priced. Many other Curcumin products are quite expensive and other brands of CurQfen are around double.

I’m not driven by the price but it helps. CurQfen is one of the 3 or 4 products that uses 3rd Generation Delivery Systems, having less harsh additives and one of the highest absorption rates into the bloodstream.

Yes, the Mary Ruth Liposomal is their Turmeric. Know that it stains quite easily. Don’t use the squeeze top. It comes out, out of control. I unscrew the cap and pour it into a tablespoon, over the sink. Once I finish this bottle, I’ll have my supply of CurQfen.

I’ll continue my research but 3 intensive weeks have brought me to a much better understanding about Curcumin and that my current plan with CurQfen is equal or better than most.

Hi MarkR - I've stopped the C3 Curcumin with Black Pepper (shuts down needed liver enzymes - based on many articles I've recently started reading). At the moment, I'm taking Mary Ruth's Liposomal Curcumin - very similar to Manna.

I've started a thread where I'm digging quite deep into the subject of Curcumin. The first article -2023 - I've linked shows the history of products - 3 generations, that improve the absorption of Curcumin. I'm either going to go with a CurQfen product (Swanson or others) that uses fenugreek seeds for containing the Curcumin within its fibers or a product tech called CurcuRouge. The makers of Theracurmin (TC) now have a CurcuRouge product (CR). I've read a Study showing CR is 3.7x over TC.

It's an interesting Article with animal and human trials regarding CurcuRouge.
