Anyone Been Told They Have Red Bone Marrow Uptake In MRI ?

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve been told that I have red bone marrow uptake on MRI scan. I understand this is marrow that reconverts from the yellow type due to oxygen stress. The consultant is very reluctant to explain the rôle of red marrow in the disease process. I’m currently diagnosed with light chain MGUS with kappa lambda ratio of 0.03. Has anyone have any insight into the likelihood of disease progression with these findings ?
Thanks and love to all x
