Peripheral Neuropathy

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
New Orleans, LA

Has anyone seen a neurologist for peripheral neuropathy caused by chemo and do you see the need for it? Also has anyone tried the natural remedies like massage therapy, acupuncture, yoga or exercise for it and does it seem to help? Mine may be in the earlier stages but it seems to be getting worse. Thank you

I may give massage and PT a try! I was so active before I was diagnosed so want to start building up my endurance! Thanks

Yes. I have acupuncture..didnt work, physical therapy-helps, massage -helps, good drugs and the right combo helps, trigger point injections help, and occipital blocks and spinal blocks help block out painful areas. Walking also helps.

A neurologist can help with neuropathy. Some people have severe debilitating neuropathy. Mine isn't bad enough to take perscription drugs for it. I do take b Complex and Alpha Lipoic acid💕
