Same here the process is not rocket science they just draw blood through you utters (catheter) it goes through machine stripping stem cells and returns blood back into your body. It took 4 days about 2hrs each day. Sometimes you are given injections to stimulate and increase your stem cell counts for faster harvesting.

I had my stem cells harvested a year ago. All went very well. Had lines coming from my neck then hooked to the machine. It's quite interesting how the process is completed. It circulated my blood through my body six times if I remember correctly. Some people are there for hours or over night. I was only there five hours. Sounds much scarier then it really is to have done.
No pain with any of it. Relax in a bed and family there with me. Hope that helps you feel better. I was in Denver Co.

The stem cells were harvested in June 2021. As of SEPT. 2023 I've been cancer free. Thank you Jesus. Still wake up in the morning wondering if it's real. Yes!! It's is and feeling well, more appetite and on Revilmid the 21 days with 14 days off. The blood work is drawn very five weeks and so far so good.
For me l feel my attitude, try staying positive and dertimed to not let this get the best of me has truly been a real blessing. Also praying daily.
To all of you I pray your new year 2024 bring everyone positive news. God bless. Mary DeLaBarre from Colorado Springs.

I had mine done last November and had no "extra" bone pain from the shots, although I brought Claritin and Zofran just in case. It took a total of 5 days for the procedure, two were in the Apheresis Center for collection of enough cells for two SCT's. The last day was to remove the port they'd put in the first day. Easy for me. I hope his experience is the same.
