I just received it to try. It says twice a day, for relief from a few minutes to up to 4 weeks. First application feels good so far. I’ll keep at and see. It would be so nice to cut back on the oxycodone.
I’ve been on Kyprolis since December (10 months) and haven’t had any cardiac issues at all. If anything my blood pressure has run lower during treatment. Cardiac side effects weren’t even mentioned to me by my MM specialist. I communicate frequently with my care team via messaging on their My Chart portal. Check to see if that is an option for you.
@A MyMyelomaTeam Member Too bad Snohomish is so far away from Puyallup. The clinic I go to, Northwest Medical Specialties is considered one of the best in the Northwest. I’ve had several other doctors, Orthopedic, Primary and Kidney, say Dr Blau, my doctor, is the best
Hematologist/Oncologist.
Hi Smith52 - If your oncologist isn’t getting around to ordering the echocardiogram, do you have portal access to his nurses or simpler yet is to call their office and ask to talk to your attending nurse. Another is to reach out to your General Practitioner and ask for that person to order the test. If you’re on Medicare Part B with a Supplemental Policy, you should be able to contact a cardiologist directly without any referral. Just let them know that you have MM and you need these tests for treatment. I did before I started mine.
In my case, I had Darzalex FasPro + RVD as my first line treatment and it went very well. This regime was strongly recommended to me by my Consulting Doc from Johns Hopkins. I changed Docs to get it.
All the Best
I've used it some. It does seem to help my feet some. It burns and dries out my hands when I apply it - recommend using latex gloves when applying. Found a review that says the same. I'm not using it daily yet - may get back to it. I'll post more about it when I do.
I was also on kyprolis, but never had any problems. I hope it works well for you.
