Eric, I had Stem Cell Therapy in 2019 and relapsed a year and a half later. My Oncologist suggested I get into a Car T Therapy Clinical Trial which I did. I have been in remission again for a year and three months. My only other option was Standard of Care, so I took the chance. No cure for MM but they can extend your life. Who knows they may find a cure during the time you have been extended. Good luck
I had active Light Chain myeloma with tumors on my ribs and lesions. I also had high calcium and was near kidney failure. I also had kyphoplasty to repair damage to my spine. Medication I was on were standard of care kyprolis, Pomalyst and revlmid also valcade.
What type of MM did you have and what were your past SCT medication?
Thank you for sharing your healing and hope!
Best
Susan
Good advice. Sorry about sude effects and relapse was so quick for Eric. I had stem cell and follow up chemo for a few years. My mm has been dormant for 11 years. Not looking forward to relapse and not sure i will pursue treatment. The break from chemo is nice. I hope everyone can enjoy thosr chemo free days!
Read my story I did have side effects talk to your Oncologist he or she can give you answers if not satisfied then find one that will.
