I have not been able to see my Myeloma specialist, Dr Sagar Lonial at Emory in over 2 years because in 2020 I was in the hospital here having surgery for a twisted small intestine & in 2021 I had fallen & had to have a hip replacement. I am just not able to make the trip anymore to Emory & I have not had a BMB or any of my yearly tests since 2019. I understand from my sister that the doctors at UAB are really good.
They are good, that's where I had my stem cell transplant almost three years ago, I haven't had any problems so far, thank God.
I think there should be plenty of specialists in your area. π

I don't think that I have every had access to the Emory pt portal I just don't remember. Maybe I could call them. I see my Oncologist in June. When I ask him about it before, he said he thought they might go a little overboard with all the tests. He stopped my Revlimid August 2019 due to constant diarrhea, which has not helped. I have seen 3 or 4 different GI Drs but they can't find an an answer to it either. I was hoping someone around Birmingham could recommend a specialist in MM that they have seen.
I hope you are doing good. Sending love & prayers to everyone going through this.β€οΈπβ€οΈ
I am keeping Marcia in my prayers.πππ
It is recommended that we see one if at all possible. There are several near Birmingham. I hope someone on here will recommend one. If you still have access to the Emory pt portal, you can email Lonial's team, they can recommend one. I am glad you are doing well ππππ
