Do I Still Need A Myeloma Specialist? I Have Been In Remission 8-1/2 Years.
I have not been able to see my Myeloma specialist, Dr Sagar Lonial at Emory in over 2 years because in 2020 I was in the hospital here having surgery for a twisted small intestine & in 2021 I had fallen & had to have a hip replacement. I am just not able to make the trip anymore to Emory & I have not had a BMB or any of my yearly tests since 2019. Call the myeloma Foundation and they will have a great recommendation!
I understand from my sister that the doctors at UAB are really good.
How are you doing since the hip replacement? I may need one and are very nervous because of my condition.
They are good, that's where I had my stem cell transplant almost three years ago, I haven't had any problems so far, thank God.
I think there should be plenty of specialists in your area. 💖
