I’m on chemo for MM Darzalex FasPro/Dexamethasone/Revlimid. The attached study indicates that 3 – 4 Grams of Turmeric Extract Curcumin C3 Complex daily has the same effect as taking Dexamethasone, currently on 20mg once a week. Anybody have any further information about this?

From the onset of Induction, I've taken 4,000mg C3 Curcumin (w/ black pepper) (same as 4g daily). My Doc was very pleased that I was taking it. There's plenty of studies that indicate that high dose C3 Curcumin in the range of 4,000mg to 8,000mg can kill MM cancer cells. I'm now on Monitoring mode and I've updated to 6,000mg daily. Tumeric does not have much curcumin in it. You'll want to find a high concentration C3 Curcumin - typically 1,000mg per pill (1 gram per).

I take 400 mg of curcuminoid extract a day with an omega 3 capsule. It helps to take the edge off of the pain. But talk to your physician before.

I put turmeric in almost everything these days. Soups, teas, currys, etc. I don't know, but so far, Greg is doing really good. They say that black pepper with turmeric is more effective.

I will anxiously await the answer to your question. My husband is taking Revlimid now, but was on R, V, D in the beginning. His doctor discouraged him from taking Turmeric, saying that it interferred with his meds. So maybe it interferred with the Valcade, or was too much with the Dexamethazone. I will be asking his Oncologist this question.
