verniers, Hi, and it is common for Myeloma Patients. You don’t clot like you use to, Your platelets are usually low, this can also mess with your clotting factor. Multiple Myeloma is very vascular, and as you get older your skin is thinking and not as supple as youth so with all of this it is a wonder why everyone isn’t a mess of bruises. Are you taking Vit D, Fish oil, etc. they can work like a blood thinner too. Be sure to talk with your doctor about it! They may want to do some clotting tests. Have a good night! Love, Marcia 🌼🌸🌻

I too have issues with ‘thin skin’ - a slight bump into something will cause a tear/bleeding. Seems worse since the SCT 7 months ago. On Velcade for maintenance treatment. My local oncologist just ‘blows it off’ when I mention it - frustrating …. So I just keep a few bandaids handy.
