My doctor is trying to find something that will help my pain from spinal stenosis and nothing seems to help. If you can remember the name of the drug or who mentioned it, I would be most appreciative. Thank you.
Ask you doctor to refer you to see if you are a candidate for Kyphoplasty. I have had 8 collapsed vertebrae repaired with this procedure and the results are nothing less than amazing. Pain from pinched nerves is almost nonexistent. I was told that I had stenosis at the beginning and them it was found that I had collapsed vertebral bodies. Worth having it looked at, the procedure is done in one day, usually outpatient. Then a couple weeks of light recovery at home.
I take a muscle relaxer and pericent, and i xanax at bed time
My husband took them as mm progresses to the point where he had been on Morphine fir 12 1/2 years and City of Hope took him off of it because it was bad for his Kidneys and put him on the Fentyl patches so they could control his pain. He said he was pain free for the last 5 months of his life. He enjoyed his life without and we where out going places everyday. With the pain he was having he wasn’t coming off of it. He didn’t have brain fog. I can see why George Duran had to ween himself off because he used it for his surgery.
Thank you. As said, MM is highly treatable but not curable. Well managed MM is dormant with no M spike, but it is detectable in low levels in a bone marrow biopsy. But there is always hope. Fentanyl patches work well, but they also give you continuous dosing of the drug. which is highly addictive. In my case is worked well, but i was is a constant state of brain fog. After the first 3 kyphoplasty treatment repaired my collapsed vertebrae, I had to be weaned slowly over about three months to over come the addiction. Just all part of the overall treatment regimen, pluses and minibuses.
My doctor said you would have to take 8 pills a day to get addicted. He said take them when you need them
